Petitions

Download example spreadsheet to compute your repeat petitions

This is the userguide for the example spreadsheet.

Enter the Start date and weekday for the petition e.g. 17/6/18 Sun. Choose the Mass time.

SatSunMonTueWedThuFri
6.00pm7.00am
10.00am

In Days Interval column you are only allowed to enter 1, 7, 31, 32, 33 or 34.

  • Seven days interval means the petition will repaet weekly on the same weekday and mass time.
  • Entering 1 for days interval means you can repeat it daily. The number of petitions is restricted. E.g. entering a date for Monday will allow you to repeat petitions daily until Thursday i.e. 4 petitions. For Tuesday you can have only 3 petitions on a daily basis. The basis of the restriction is the same Mass times from Monday to Thursday. Wrong entry in No.of Petitions will appear red in colour. For Friday, Saturday and Sunday if days interval is 1 then number of petitions can only be 1.
  • the interval 31,32,33 and 34 control repeats for first weekday, second weekday, third weekday and fourth weekday. Eg 32 and petiton is 3, it means if starting date weekday is Sunday then repeat every 2nd Sunday for next 2 months, including the starting date the total petitions equals 3. Only the weekday of starting date (which may not be the 2nd Sunday) is used to determine the subsequent 2nd Sunday.

The starting weekday is used to determine the subsequent numbered weekdays of the months..
